Replacement Guttering Outside Porch, Kingswood Surrey The initial Porch was erected about forty years ago with a thin lead gutter just on the front fascia. This was too small and lead to it being blocked every year. Over time water just spilt over the edge onto the ground splashing over the Porch post supports, which in turn rotted the wood. I repaired the bottom of one of them and found that the previous repair had been done in soft wood! Tut tut! I had made the new repair with Oak and sealed it with three coats of outside gloss brilliant white paint which then matched the other posts. To protect the posts from the coming Autumn and Winter rains I replaced the Porch guttering with White Miniline Guttering. Miniline is smaller than normal roof guttering and comes in White, Brown, Black and Grey. As the Porch has White Fascia’s the installation would be discrete. As you will see from the supporting photos, discrete it is1 Removal, cleaning and installation took about three quarters of the day.
