Ideal i-mini i24 Combi boiler installation Brentford
After this had been capped off, I was asked to go in at short notice to install a new boiler.
The old one apparently was let unburnt gas escape out of the flue. I did offer to fix it, but a replacement was wanted. Just as well, the HeatLine 24kw boiler was over 10 years old and was on its way out.
At short notice I was able to get the Ideal I-mini 24 KW condensing boiler from Priority Plumbing, which included a mechanical timer and flue.
At the property there were no drain-offs so emptying the Central Heating was not possible. Thankfully the filling loop was used to relieve the pressure in the system and drain the old boiler.
With the new boiler off, I was able to reuse the old flue hole and measure back from that and mounted the new Ideal boiler.
As the Ideal boiler is a Condensing one, I had to organise a route for the Condense pipe into the kitchen waste, through the back of the kitchen units. This proved to take up the most about of time out of the whole installation.
Also adding an inline scale inhibitor is a must these days and is a requirement for most warranties.
It just left the outside Flue seal to fit and to turn the Pressure Relief Valve outlet back to the wall to finish of the job.
One day to take off the old boiler and mount/connect the new boiler, with Hot and Central Heating available. The second day to tidy up some of the pipe work and commission the new appliance.
